01 Who We Are

TTR Desk is operated by The Technical Room ("TTR", "we", "us", "our"). We are a trading education and software platform. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the TTR Desk application, website at desk.thetechnicalroom.ca, and related services.

02 Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Payment information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number.
  • Trading data: Account balances, trade logs, journal entries, prop firm data, and other information you input into the application.
  • Communications: Messages you send to us via email or Discord support channels.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Operating system, device type, browser type, and screen resolution.
  • Usage data: Features used, panels opened, session duration, and interaction patterns.
  • IP address: Collected for security, analytics, and fraud prevention.
  • Cookies: Small data files stored on your device. See our Cookie Notice for details.

Information from Third Parties

When you connect broker accounts (Tradovate, Rithmic, MetaTrader, CTrader, etc.), we receive account balance, equity, and trade data from those platforms via their APIs. We use read-only access where available and never obtain your trading password.

03 How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you register, use features, or contact us. We also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you interact with the application or website.

04 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the TTR Desk application and services.
  • Process your account registration and manage your subscription.
  • Sync your trading data across devices via Cloud Sync (encrypted end-to-end).
  • Send you service-related communications (account verification, updates, security alerts).
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the application and develop new features.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We never have and never will.

05 Who We Share Information With

We may share your information with:

  • Payment processors: Stripe, to process subscription payments. They operate under their own privacy policies.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers: To host and store application data securely.
  • Analytics services: Aggregated, anonymised usage data to improve the application.
  • Law enforcement: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights and safety.

We do not share your trading data, journal entries, or broker account information with any third party except as strictly necessary to provide the Service.

06 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard security measures. Cloud Sync data is encrypted with AES-256 encryption before leaving your device — we cannot read your synced data. We use HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit.

While we implement robust security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

07 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

08 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Data portability — request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

10 Children's Privacy

TTR Desk is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

11 Third-Party Services

TTR Desk integrates with third-party services (Tradovate, Rithmic, MetaTrader, CTrader, Discord, etc.). These services have their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

12 Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
